Landed and can't connect?

Work through these five checks in order — they fix most cases in a few minutes. Your eSIM must already be installed; if it isn't, the install steps are at the bottom.

  1. Data Roaming ON — for the travel eSIM line specifically. A travel eSIM is technically roaming; this switch must be on.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → your travel line → Data Roaming
Android: Settings → SIM settings → travel eSIM → Roaming
  2. The eSIM is your DATA line — installing is not enough; the phone must be told to use it for data.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → travel line
Android: SIM manager → Mobile data → travel eSIM
  3. The travel line is turned ON — check the line itself is enabled in the same SIM settings screen.
  4. Airplane-mode flip — 10 seconds on, then off. Forces a fresh network registration. A full phone restart is the stronger version of this.
  5. Pick a network manually — Settings → your travel line → Network Selection: turn automatic OFF and choose one of the networks your plan lists (they are under the plan's Details where you bought it). Wait up to a minute; if it fails, try the next network on the list.

Unfamiliar carrier name on the travel line? Normal — travel eSIMs carry the name of the partner carrier that issued them and connect through local networks. It is not the problem; the checks above are.

Still nothing?

Not installed yet?

Fastest: open the delivery email ("Your Auroama eSIM is ready") or your order page on the phone itself and tap Install on this iPhone (iOS 17.4 or newer) or Install on this Android phone (Android 10 or newer). Your QR code and activation details are in that email and on your order page.

iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code (scan from another screen), or Enter Details Manually: copy the SM-DP+ address and the activation code from the email, and leave Confirmation Code empty.

Android: Settings → Network / Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM, then scan the QR or paste the full activation code — the one that starts with LPA:1$. On Samsung it is under Connections; on Pixel under Network & internet → SIMs.
